As reviewing products is essential to the objectives of my website, I will from time to time use one or more of the following ways listed below to achieve that. My overriding objective is to be open and honest with my readers. Therefore, I consider these reviews in the same way I would about a post for a product that I had paid for myself. It does not affect the way I write about it. In all honesty, if it was a product that I felt would not be beneficial to my audience, I would be more inclined not write about it.
Sponsored Posts
I occasionally do sponsored posts. If so, it will clearly state so at the beginning of the article. These are posts that I have been specifically compensated for. There may also be sponsored giveaways where the compensation may be in the form of prizes and/financial compensation for exposure.
Advertising Posts
Advertising posts are those I am paid to place by a third-party company but only if I am happy with the product, it is a natural fit for my brand and conveys a honest message that is relevant to my audience. Any posts paid for by a brand will be marked as an Advertisement in the title.
Editorial Content
Editorial content is not influenced by advertisers, affiliates, public relations firms, brands or other individuals.
Samples and Gifts
I often receive product samples and/or gifts. The majority of them are sent to me with no strings attached in the hope that I will try them and write about them. They do not provide a guarantee of a favourable review.
Affiliate Links
Embedded within some of my pages and posts are affiliate links. These are links that generate a small commission for me if you click on them and complete a purchase on a third-party website. It does not cost you anything extra and helps to support this website. The commission is paid by the retailer.
